The Annenberg Public Policy Center’s FactCheck.org, the nonpartisan, nonprofit “consumer advocate” for voters, provided daily coverage of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The 2016 Republican National Convention was held in Cleveland from July 18-21, and the 2016 Democratic National Convention was the following week, July 25-28, in Philadelphia.
Prior to the conventions, FactCheck.org released a summary of some of the most egregious claims made by both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, accompanied by videos from FlackCheck.org (see below).
See below for a portion of FactCheck.org’s convention analysis. Full coverage of both conventions can be found on its website under the tags RNC and DNC.

In addition, FactCheck.org announced that it has formed a partnership with NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, a division of NBCUniversal, to produce at least one fact-checking video each week, through Election Day. The videos will air on the NBC Owned Television Stations, which includes 11 NBC-owned TV stations and the regional cable news network New England Cable News (necn).
“We are excited to once again work with NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations to highlight our work and help their millions of viewers cut through the partisan spin this election year,” said Eugene Kiely, Director of FactCheck.org.
“Our partnership with FactCheck.org reflects our stations’ mission of pursuing investigative journalism and doing the in-depth research that reveals the full story,” said Kevin Keeshan, Senior Vice President of News, Content and Standards, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “I’m pleased that our stations will once again work with FactCheck.org and feature videos on their sites to help viewers stay informed as they get ready to select the country’s next president.”
FactCheck.org and NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations previously worked together on campaign videos during the 2012 election season. FactCheck.org also partners with “State of the Union with Jake Tapper” in a weekly online video series. All of the Jake Tapper videos can be found on FactCheck.org’s website.
